Strategy
Research
Our process begins with research. Before any creative messaging or media strategy is recommended, our team examines the supplied materials (study protocol, site list, etc.) to determine the trials target demographic. Then we conduct market research, including interviews with clinical researchers and focus groups with potential patients, to learn as much as we can about the demographics’ concerns, habits and lifestyles.
Strategy
Our project team then combines the market research with past study metrics to develop a psychographic profile of the demographic, identifying the most effective media outlets that will reach them. Using this profile XFA develops an all-inclusive recruitment, tracking and retention strategy design to efficiently target our demographic.

Creative
From this strategy a singular message is developed and adapted to fit the various mediums to be utilized (e.g. radio, print, television, web advertising, recruitment kits, etc.). XFA has come to understand that most people suffering from a condition are open to new medical advances and that there is a clearly defined strategy that will motivate them to respond. Media
Our media department brings over 50 years of combined experience to the patient recruitment industry and specializes in local and national direct response campaigns. Using the campaign strategy as a benchmark, the team develops a media plan that is aggressively researched, negotiated, purchased and tracked. Using proprietary software that intrinsically ties the media to the recruitment progress, we are able to develop and retain valuable metrics for use in current and future studies.

Production
XFA’s on-site and in-house production company is the award-winning One-Eighty Films (OEF).
Once the messaging has been developed and approved, XFA creative directors’ work closely with producers at OEF to create your specific marketing products. OEF not only has over 20 years of experience creating direct response campaigns but has produced three feature films, dozens of music videos and hundreds of image advertisements for clients such as Adidas, Nike and Jantzen Swimwear.
OEF and XFA realize that quality production value adds a tangible perception of legitimacy that attracts, motivates and recruits more patients. OEF produces all their television commercials in the film and HD formats, using a seasoned staff of talented directors, cinematographers, actors, designers and editors.
OEF’s full video, audio, design and web capabilities allow XFA to not only create advertisements from their inception, but also quickly customize existing spots with additional phone numbers, site information, translations and audio.
